The historic Hermosa Hotel has been serving guests of the island since 1896 and, as was the style then, our rooms are efficient and close to local attractions. All rooms went through a refresh and renovation in 2020 providing guests an elevated experience. We have kept the charm of the original hotel but added air conditioning, heating, and kitchenettes to many of the rooms so you can make the most of your island adventure or retreat. Connecting rooms, landing areas, and kitchenette units are great set ups for families, groups, and beach goers. Just keep in mind that our hotel does not have an elevator and most of our rooms require climbing stairs to access.
OCEAN VIEW DELUXE
Enjoy our ocean view deluxe unit with a separate bedroom, living area, and a full kitchen (sink, refrigerator, full oven, coffee maker, and microwave) with a small dining area and cable TV(s). Jack & Jill units are located on the second and third floors of our historic hotel and are a set of two combined/adjoined rooms. With two, three or four beds total, a TV in each room, and an adjoining bathroom between them, these are like getting two rooms for the price of one. Each room has a ceiling fan (a few have air conditioning) and one of the two rooms in the set includes a microwave and mini fridge. Jack & Jill Units require climbing steps to access.

MINI-SUITE
Mini suites have a sleeping area, a lounging area, and a kitchenette that allows for basic cooking. These mini suites have TV, dining area and sofa (pull-out sleeper) in one section of unit and bedroom/bathroom in the other. These are located on the second and third floors of our hotel building. FAMILY UNIT - 2 BEDROOM COTTAGE
Popular with families and group celebrations, the 2 bedroom family unit cottage is perfect for a mid-sized family. This apartment includes two bedrooms one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. There is one loft area that includes a double bed up a ladder for the kiddos. Even though you are on vacation there are TVs in the master as well as the living room. There is a couch and breakfast bar but not a lot of seating in this unit although it’s steps from the beach and all restaurants. The small kitchen is great for snacks or warming up leftovers. Hermosa is located in the heart of Avalon, this unit will have some noise from local golf carts and streets. This apartment has one set of stairs from the sidewalk but is the ideal location for a busy family enjoying all Avalon has to offer.Â
